I will sing for the veil that never lifts/I will sing for the veil that begins, once in a life time maybe, to lift/I will sing for the rent in the veil/I will sing for what is in front of the veil, the floating light/ I will sing for what is behind the veil—light, light and more light/This is the world and this is the work of the world. ~Mary Oliver

Pictures?
The more I look at everyone else's blogs the more I realize that I'm really deficent when it comes to pictures. I think the main reason is I don't have a digital camera, also I can't remember the last time I actually took a whole role of film and had it developed. I actually have a role of film that's been sitting around for four years waiting to be developed. Am I really that poor? It just seems whenever I have a little extra money to spend I wind up buying clothes or better food. The thing is I actually like to take pictures and I keep thinking of fun little themes on which I could take pictures. I'm sure all the family far away would like to see something about my life or even a picture with me in it. The last picture I know about of my self was when we visited Michigan in December. I will work on this.

I understand the digital camera part. Without it, it is way too much work. Glad to see your back and "sassy" it gets lonely here with Bob away so I need to check in on all our family blogs to keep me company. The fish just don't cut it!
i don't have digital yet, either, but i take my little roll of film to target and get in on CD (without developing it) for $2. ;)
Elly, that's an excellent idea and what I do when I use a disposable camera; only here at Meijer they require we pay for developing and the CD - costs $5. I like your store much better.
Erica, pictures are great. I think I like them because when I learned to read, I would look at them to figure out what the story was about. BUT, your writing is so vivid and expressive. It carries me to that very place and time expressed in your writing and makes me see the beauty, humor, simplicity, and complexities you describe. Yes, do what you can to add pictures...that would be wonderful! But in the meantime, remember that your writing and just being you is what brings us back to read your blog. We love you Erica...keep a song in your heart and keep 'singing' to us through your writing!
Thanks Aunt Marlys, your gonna make me cry.
